This research explores the phenomenon of fake news dissemination on social media platforms (specifically TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter) within the Hispanic community. The study applies mathematical models, particularly filtering theory, to analyze how misinformation spreads and how users interpret information. Using a quantitative and exploratory approach, the research examines the main factors influencing fake news dissemination, supported by a literature review on diffusion models, graph theory, and filtering algorithms. Data collection focuses on real cases of misinformation shared across the three platforms, and the models are applied to identify patterns and user behaviors. |
