RugamaauthorEl estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar las estructuras y estilos de personalidad en 30 personas de sexo masculino divididas en dos grupos: 16 con trastorno por consumo de sustancias en CENICSOL y 14 estudiantes de cuarto año de Ciencias de la Educación con mención en Matemáticas de la UNAN-Managua, utilizando un enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, de corte transversal y de alcance descriptivo-comparativo mediante la aplicación de los instrumentos DAST-10, CEPER III e IPO con análisis de estadística descriptiva e inferencial para el contraste de hipótesis. Los resultados mostraron diferencias significativas entre los participantes de CENICSOL y los de UNAN en defensas primitivas, difusión de identidad y estilos de personalidad. Sin embargo, no hubo diferencias en la prueba de realidad y ambos grupos presentaron perfiles de personalidad similares en varias dimensiones. --------------------- The study aimed to compare the personality structures and styles of 30 males divided into two groups: 16 with substance use disorder at CENICSOL and 14 fourth-year mathematics education students at UNAN-Managua. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-comparative approach was used, employing the DAST-10, CEPER III, and IPO instruments, with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis for hypothesis testing. The results showed significant differences between the CENICSOL and UNAN participants in primitive defenses, identity diffusion, and personality styles.
