Los resultados indican que existe relación negativa estadísticamente significativa de baja magnitud entre el uso problemático de redes sociales y el control  Inhibitorio, es decir, que a mayor uso problemático de redes sociales, menor control inhibitorio.    ---------------------    The objective of this study is to evaluate the relationship between problematic social media use and inhibitory control in 30 Integrated Communication and Marketing students who took a Microeconomics course during May 2026 at Keiser University, Latin American Campus, Managua. A quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational approach was used, applying the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale and the Stroop test (to assess interference), with descriptive and inferential statistical analyses. The results indicate a statistically significant, albeit weak, negative relationship between problematic social media use and inhibitory control; that is, greater problematic social media use is associated with lower inhibitory control.
