%X El texto examina la ausencia de una hegemonía nacional sólida en Nicaragua tras la independencia y durante gran parte del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Asimismo, analiza el proceso de recolonización intelectual emprendido por una generación de poetas e intelectuales granadinos, basado en tres pilares fundamentales: el catolicismo, el mestizaje y el idioma español, que suprimió o invisibilizó la diversidad étnica y cultural de las identidades indígenas y afrodescendientes.  ---------------------  The text examines the absence of a strong national hegemony in Nicaragua after independence and throughout much of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It also analyzes the process of intellectual recolonization undertaken by a generation of poets and intellectuals from Granada, based on three fundamental pillars: Catholicism, mestizaje (racial and cultural mixing), and the Spanish language, thereby suppressing or rendering invisible the ethnic and cultural diversity of Indigenous and Afro-descendant identities.
